Barceló & Co. was founded in 1930 by Julian Barceló. During the 80’s Barceló established it self as the premium leader in the rum market. In 1992 Ron Barceló started exporting to other countries, and by 1994 was selling goods to more than 10 countries. In 2000 BAINSA (Barceló Internacional) was created as a joint venture between the Dominican family owners of Barceló & Co a group of Spanish investors: the owners of Marqués de Vargas and Destilerias MG. The Spanish group has made an investment of more than 20 million US$ to create a new factory plant San Pedro Macorís, that meets all the requirements of the markets. Today Ron Barceló is sold in over 20 countries, and is a 550,000 cases brand in Spain

Ron Barceló AÑEJO Superior Blend created from a premium selection of rums, all naturally aged for up to four (4) years in American oak casks. Rich, flavorful, and favorite among rum connoisseurs. Golden red color and smooth aroma. Barceló Añejo is amazing alone or combined with any mixer.

Ron Barceló IMPERIAL was voted as “the best rum in the world” by the Beverage Institute of Chicago in 2000 and 2001. Is the first Rum to have been rated with highest score (97/100) in the history of the Institute, that called it “a superlative world-class spirit”. Naturally aged for up to eight (08) years.

Ron Barceló GRAN AÑEJO Amber, with a rich golden cast. Citrus, apricot and woody aroma. Smooth, medium weighted texture. Rather rounded palate of light fruit flavors and a touch of waxy, creamy sensations to the finish. Blend of different rum naturally aged in American oak barrels for over Six (6) years. Golden red colour and excellent bouquet.

The Master Blender, responsible of creating this product presents to us an exquisite blend showing to the most complex taster’s palate the art of selecting and mixing the finest exclusive reserves of Venezuelan rums. It’s a captivating rum due to the intensive amber color derived from the prolonged aging in white oak barrels. Its singular body and extraordinary balance shows a marvelous complexity obtained from the artisan distilling process of sugarcane honey in old copper pot stills making possible that only a limited quantity of barrels can be bottled for few tasters to appreciate this matured bouquet.

Copper pot stilled, and aged for 4 years in small oak barrels. Versatile Golden color "Ron Añejo" (Aged Rum) holder of he Caribbean essence, manifested in its soft bouquet and in the fine fruit and warm wood aromas, resulting from the aging process and the sweet cane touch.
